Web designers in this category are normally found to earn between $20,000 and $50,000. However, really good designers normally get involved in other graphical representation (i.e. for advertising companies) and this can push their salaries to as much as $90,000.

Web designers (front end coding): A front end web designer, is one who is competent with the use of website scripts such as Css and html. The construction of most web pages which are available online is thus handled by them. Web designers like these earn more than graphic designers and are normally found with salary values of $40,000 to $70,000. A web designer can earn even more if he also happens to be proficient in graphic design as well.

Web programmers: A web programmer has a more demanding job as he is charged with writing essential and vital programming codes which are used in running important sites. Websites such as yahoo and Google employ back end coding which allows them perform effectively. Web programmers are the highest earning class of web designers and can make an annual salary of well over $100,000.

Other factors, some of which include the size of his company and experience level, also affect the amount a web designer can earn.
