Internet is one single factor that has developed in leaps and bounds over the years. This kind of a networking though, a few decades ago was almost impossible to even imagine. The layout or design of the site depends on many factors. For one, it is the type of content it is displaying. Different sites will have to have different features to suit their purposes. The second is the type of users that will be using the site most frequently.In the case of social networking sites, like Facebook, many links can be seen to make contact with people. Whether it is to make new friends or message a current friend, Facebook users are encouraged to “keep in touch” with as many friends as possible.

Taking in to account all the factors, a web designer must come up with the most suitable layout of the site in order to gain the highest possible number of user visits. The placement of each picture or video should be carefully done, by the web designer, as it can affect the number of times either is viewed.

The web designer is responsible for choosing the ideal font size, type etc to suit the purpose of the site. Sites which will serve an older generation should have slightly large fonts to allow user to easily read published content. The web designer’s job also includes creating a theme for the site that gives a site its uniqueness.

being a web designer has become a far easier job these days than it used to be. Web designers no longer need to be fluent in complex skills like HTML and so on. There are many simple tools which are available nowadays for the purpose of web designing, which will make life easier for many beginners in the field of web designing.
