Internet is one single factor that has developed in leaps and bounds over the years. This kind of a networking though, a few decades ago was almost impossible to even imagine. Today the uses of websites are for various purposes. One such purpose would be a networking capabilities within a university. Every single day many web sites are created to serve the needs of people.

What makes web sites so special is that they are the interface, or the intermediate, between people and networked computers. Fil;es can be accessed which are stored in different computers. The files maybe text, images or even videos.

The layout or design of the site depends on many factors. For one, it is the type of content it is displaying. Advertising sites will have a very colorful attractive layout to encourage viewers to click on links and view their advertisement, whereas a site that provides information will have many features like suggestions and search bars to help users locate the information they are looking for. The second is the type of users that will be using the site most frequently.There are websites which will support additional functions and features for the purpose of networking. Whether it is to make new friends or message a current friend, Facebook users are encouraged to “keep in touch” with as many friends as possible.

Like every piece of art has a talented artist behind its every detail, each web site has a web designer who creates the web site from scratch. In order to attract many users, web designers will have to prepare the best design. The placement of each picture or video should be carefully done, by the web designer, as it can affect the number of times either is viewed.

To suit the purpose and to match the audience the colors and fonts should be chosen. Sites which will serve an older generation should have slightly large fonts to allow user to easily read published content. A theme is also a necessity for the webpage where it will create its uniqueness.

In recent years being a web designer has become much easier than it used to be. Web designers no longer need to be fluent in complex skills like HTML and so on. There are many simple tools which are available nowadays for the purpose of web designing, which will make life easier for many beginners in the field of web designing.
